Affluent Seattleite Bernadette Fox (Cate Blanchett) seems to be living the good life, with an opulent house and idyllic family that draw the envy (and ire) of the people around her. However, after years of focusing social standing at the expense of her artistic ambitions, she decides to abandon the life in which she feels trapped in order to embark on a grandiose adventure of self-discovery. After her disappearance, her brilliant daughter, Bee (Emma Nelson), takes it upon herself to figure out where exactly her mother has gone to. Based on the bestselling novel by Maria Semple, "Where'd You Go, Bernadette" hits theaters Aug. 16, 2019, and is rated PG-13.
