A young boy starts reading a fairy tale about a dragon who never learned to fly. The dragon was too busy doing other things to keep the community and her family well until she saw a bird that taught her to fly despite not having time. Paralleling the child's narrative, his mother works and keeps her family together. One night she sees a billboard with a bird on it for the University of Pheonix which inspires her to pursue a bachelor's degree like the mighty dragon learned to fly in the story.
