Ellevest brings to the market the first investment platform designed for women, by women. Major gaps are affecting the way women get what's theirs. In addition to the wage gap and the infamous thigh gap, there's the investment gap. According to Ellevest, this exists because of the male-dominated investment industry and its tools built for men, by men. The career trajectory of a woman is different than that of a man, what with her longer life span, earlier peaking salary, career breaks and smaller raises, so Ellevest suggests investing like a woman, too.
