In Episode 208 of FOX's Lethal Weapon, Scorsese sits at Roger Murtaugh's desk to perform a spiritual exploration of his boss' character, attempting to gather some inspiration for what appears to be a script he is working on. Scorcese impersonates Murtaugh saying, "Dang it, Riggs!" Detective Bailey is not impressed, and she tells him to keep "workshopping." Scorsese agrees, turning back to his Microsoft Surface and drawing a squiggly line through an entire paragraph of the script, causing it to disappear from the screen. When Scorcese asks Bailey to play Murtaugh's partner, Riggs, she is not interested and tells Scorsese to go home. In his frustration, Scorsese dramatically states that he has never felt so disrespected or been so unappreciated, to which Bailey replies, "Now that -- that was a good Murtaugh."
