The four March sisters come of age in mid-1800s New England amid the massive social change brought about by the end of the American Civil War. Though the women's lives and dispositions diverge as they grow, they all stand by one another amid an onslaught of wealthy suitors and artistic ambitions. Through it all, the elder sister Jo (Saoirse Ronan) attempts to capture her family's story in a book, though she might face some difficulty in getting it published. Based on Louisa May Alcott's classic novel, "Little Women" hits theaters Christmas 2019.
