In a bustling deli, Andy Samberg plays the cursed “Meal Diamond,” a mayonnaise‑loving singer and performs a playful twist on Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline." As he walks around the deli, he points to sandwiches, singing “touching ham” and “touching cheese,” turning quirky observations into catchy lyrics that pulls everyone but an unimpressed Elle Fanning into the music. What begins as an awkward serenade quickly erupts into a full‑on deli concert, with customers and staff alike singing, clapping and celebrating the joy of a perfectly dressed sandwich. Meal Diamond sings about his unknown parents, lack of friends and reveals being trapped within the deli's walls, but the cheery tune masks his troubles and goes unnoticed. While everyone sings, Samberg slides into the booth next to Elle telling her that if they marry, his curse will be broken, but she politely declines him.
