The crew of an orbiting space station is left stunned as they bear witness to a planet-engulfing fog that seemingly eliminates nearly all life on Earth. Left with few options, they mull over whether to remain safe in the station's algae symbiosis system or to follow a lead in an attempt to find survivors. All parties are pushed to their limits as the true nature of the mysterious pestilence comes to light.
