Hello, ladies! Mustafa would like to speak with the man in your life. Walking from a bathroom and into a forest, he encourages men to get closer to nature with Old Spice Timber -- that's what their women deserve. After delivering his message, he's ready to talk to the ladies again with luxurious jewelry in hand. Aww, he shouldn't have. But, he did. He adds that soon, their men will smell like they're ready to paddle down a lake in a canoe with a large ax. Suddenly, his rival Terry Crews appears in the background. He says not to use Timber but use Old Spice Bearglove instead. Crews, wearing red shorts, is cooking up Bearglove Body Wash in a pan until the bottle cracks, revealing a hatching chicken with the head of Terry Crews. Then, he appears at the top of an erupting volcano, which burns him and turns him into a skeleton. In the next scene multiple versions of the actor all ride on a motorcycle until it crashes into Mustafa. The battle is on. Make a smellmitment with Old Spice.

iSpot Review — August 14, 2015

Old Spice brings back their two biggest spokespeople, Isaiah Mustafa and Terry Crews in this extended, 45-second commercial. Mustafa starred as the first Old Spice spokesperson, famously known for wearing a towel, being smooth and magically being in several places at the same time. Terry Crews on the other hand is known for yelling, explosions and generally keeping the energy levels at the cruising altitude for commercial airliners.

Although Mustafa and Crews play polar opposite characters, the creative works by pairing Mustafa and Crews to represent the two scents Old Spice is debuting, Timber and Bearglove, respectively. Throughout the duration of the ad, both men are able to advertise their scents before being abruptly ended by the other. Mustafa is able to pull off his usual cool antics moving smoothly from one place to another before Crews rudely interrupts his spiel. Crews is riding a tandem motorcycle with several clones of himself and a tiger before he drives it off a cliff and into the side of Mustafa's head.

Wieden+Kennedy does a superb job in bringing back both actors, and even possibly hinting at the continuance of this campaign where both Spokespersons do battle with each other. The ads that Old Spice have been putting out for the past few years have become a staple in advertisement. With this new commercial, W+K and Old Spice look to continue that trend.
