A flock of magnificent geese take flight in search of a better existence. Despite their amazing resilience, these geese are suffering. This new place turns out to have an unreliable cell phone service, and they keep having to wait for videos to buffer on their little bird phones. Birds HATE that, so they flew back and switched back to Verizon. Get $300 from Verizon when you trade in your phone and buy a new one.
iSpot Review - July 2, 2015
With competitors like T-Mobile and Sprint offering promotions to lure customers away with promises of no contracts and half priced rate plans, it comes as no surprise that Verizon is finally fighting back. Their approach, however, is a surprise.
It appears Verizon is fighting fire with... geese? In this not-so-subtle plea for customers to return to them, Verizon manages to be both hilarious and charming. The mock nature documentary theme and British voice-over make it just ridiculous enough to work, and the 300 dollar offer doesn't hurt either.
The premise is that the geese flew away from their home seeking a better existence (*cough*) cheaper rates (*cough*). But, upon discovering the unreliable network and inability to watch videos on their little bird phones, they came back home.
Surprisingly friendly and highly original, Verizon has found the perfect creative sweet spot. Here's hoping they stick with this approach in future ads.
