SNL alumnus Darrell Hammond stars as Colonel Sanders in the new KFC commercial. Everyone's favorite Colonel is back in his famous white suit and this time he's singing about his deals with a mandolin band. Instead of filling up your car with gasoline for $5, fill up yourself with the Colonel's KFC $5 Fill Ups. Get Chicken Tenders, Mashed Potatoes With Gravy, a biscuit and a big ole cookie for $5 at KFC. It's a good fill up. Take it from Phillip.

$5 just isn't what it used to be. You'd be lucky to find a
restaurant that'd get you full on a meal that only cost $5 these days. Let's
take a trip down nostalgia lane for a brief moment. There was a time when $5
got you a ticket to the movie theater on a Friday night without using your
expired school I.D. There was a time when $5 made you feel like a millionaire
going down the candy aisle at the local supermarket. There was even a time when
Honest Abe would've filled a quarter of your gas tank up, but those sweet,
sweet days of living like a king on $5 are over. Or are they?
Darrell Hammond, former SNL star is the new Colonel Sanders
in this KFC ad promoting the $5 fill up. You can spend $5 on filling the gas
tank up in your car, but then you'd be left hungry, with only gasoline to take
you to places to eat. But Colonel Sanders has a better way to spend your $5,
and it's filling yourself up. With three chicken tenders, a side of mashed
potatoes and gravy, a biscuit, and a big ol' cookie, you'd find it hard not to
sing along to a tune of your own with your own string band to support you.
Besides, Phillip looks like the kind of guy who knows a good deal. His name
says it all.
