A post-apocalyptic wasteland is the setting for Chevrolet’s Silverado ad from the 2012 Super Bowl. Barry Manilow’s song “Looks Like We Made It” plays as a man drives his 2012 Silverado out from under a pile of rubble. He drives for a while until he finds a few more Silverado owners, seemingly the only people who made it through the end of the world. They realize that one of their friends is missing because he did not drive a Chevy, whereas they are alive because they drive “the longest lasting, most dependable truck on the road.”
