Team USA's Rico Roman tells the story of how his military vehicle was hit by an explosive device during his third tour in Iraq. Rico lost his leg during the accident and says he didn't want his fellow soldiers to risk their own lives by saving him. But because they were family, his military brethren rescued him. Rico says that sense of brotherhood is also found on the 2018 ice sled hockey team and he feels like he has been given a second chance to represent his country. He may have been knocked down during his military career, but he is up now and ready to represent the American flag during the 2018 Winter Paralympics.
