One night in 1939, the Madison Square Garden in New York was host to more than 20,000 American Nazis, gathered to celebrate the rise of antisemitism across Europe. Though the rally has been largely forgotten by history, footage of the event survives to this day. In his Academy Award-nominated documentary short, "A Night at the Garden," filmmaker Marshall Curry recalls this little-known chapter in American history to remind viewers that "it can happen here."
