iSpot Welcomes Steven Millman as Chief Scientist

We’ve hired transformative industry veteran Steven Millman as our Chief Scientist. Millman will help us continue to drive innovation at a key time when the advertising industry is looking to measurement as a revenue driver amidst economic uncertainty.

After all, Steven is a proven leader with over two decades of market and advertising research experience as well as the 2024 Market Research Council Hall of Fame Change Maker, an award which recognizes the industry’s most impactful market researcher of the year.


iSpot Taps Transformative Industry Vet Steven Millman To Spearhead Data Science Innovation 

Millman joins iSpot to lead data science strategy as a way to continue to drive measurement innovation to clients 

Bellevue, WA, May 14, 2024 – iSpot, the cross-platform TV ad measurement company, announced today the appointment of seasoned industry veteran, Steven Millman as their Chief Scientist.

Millman’s hire comes at a pivotal time for the advertising industry as brands, advertisers and publishers are hyper-focused on ROI and measurement-based outcomes amidst economic uncertainty. 

Millman brings a wealth of experience to iSpot, with over two decades leading market and advertising research teams – serving thousands of brands, agencies and research firms, as well as experience in political and management consulting.  He was also the 2024 Market Research Council Hall of Fame Change Maker, an award which recognizes the industry’s most impactful market researcher of the year.

With vast ad-tech experience in scaling data science organizations and driving measurable impact through advanced analytics and machine learning, Millman was most recently employed at global market research firm Dynata, where he served as the Global Head of Research and Data Science.

Millman has also spent time as the Chief Scientist at MRI-Simmons as well as  SVP Head of Research at measurement company comScore. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF)  and currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at New York University, where he teaches courses on the use of AI and LLMs in marketing and market research organizations. 

In his new role at iSpot, Millman will lead the evolution of iSpot’s data science strategy across Creative, Audience and Outcomes measurement, deepening iSpot’s value to both brands and publishers. Millman’s appointment is proof that iSpot remains industry focused by making critical leadership appointments, re-aligning teams to be more synergistic following key acquisitions and rolling out products and insights that help brands win – crucial to the company’s continued long-term success.
