Honda Super Bowl Commercials
Returning Super Bowl advertiser, Honda, will be coming back with one ad promoting its redesigned 2017 Honda CR-V from its agency of record, RPA. The 60-second ad, 'Yearbooks' is set to air during the game’s second quarter. The ad features a celebrity-filled yearbook, with Tina Fey, Robert Redford, Amy Adams, Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson, Steve Carrell Missy Elliott, Stan Lee, Jimmy Kimmel, and Viola Davis making an appearance. There is also a 15-second teaser 'Yearbook,' which features a young, mustachioed Steve Carell, who appears on a yearbook page and shares the message to "believe in yourself." The ad and teaser are part of Honda’s “Power of Dreams” campaign. The campaign promotes the 2017 Honda, which is coincidentally celebrating the 20th anniversary of the first-generation Honda CR-V. Last year's 60-second spot advertising its 2017 Ridgeline truck was also created by RPA and featured a field of sheep singing Queen's iconic hit, 'Somebody to Love.' The commercial, 'New Truck to Love,' took 13th place for game day digital engagement.
