Dr. Saud Abdulaziz Abdul Ghani is a professor of mechanical engineering at Qatar University who helped design a cooling system to recycle cool air to keep players and spectators comfortable during the game. He points out that stadiums haven't changed much since gladiators fought in them, but an air-conditioned stadium was something they wanted to implement while remaining sustainable.
