After being widowed at 18, young Mary Stuart returns to Scotland to claim her rightful throne. But because both England and Scotland fall under the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, tensions build and the young queens must face each other despite the fear and morbid fascination they have with each other. These rivals in love and power face betrayal, rebellion and conspiracies within their own kingdoms that will change the course of history. "Mary Queen of Scots," in theaters Dec. 7, 2018, is rated R.
