Carol Bowne was a woman whose convicted felon ex-boyfriend was stalking her. She obtained a restraining order after he smashed her windshield and tried to defend her life by applying for a handheld gun permit. The state of New Jersey took too long and two days after she checked on the status of her application, her ex-boyfriend stabbed her to death in her driveway, even with a security system and cameras. The NRA wants to make sure Bowne?s story never happens to another American ever again.
