The 88th Annual Academy Awards saw advertisers showing up and spending big – an estimated $2 million for each 30-second spot.

Advertisers went all out in honor of music’s biggest night. Monday’s CBS broadcast of the 58th Annual Grammy Awards saw a turnout of 51 brands and 82 commercials. The final in-game numbers are in! On Super Bowl Sunday 62 brands came to play, airing 97 unique Super Bowl commercials. By compiling the resulting data across every ad, we have a clear view into how Super Bowl advertising performed overall.

And the winners are… Mountain Dew, Hyundai, T-Mobile, Hyundai and T-Mobile! Yep, you read that right. While Mountain Dew’s haunting “Puppymonkeybaby” took the number one spot for digital performance on game day, T-Mobile and Hyundai each landed two Super Bowl ads in the top five most engaging, making the top five a party of three.

As of 3pm EST on Super Bowl Sunday 50 brands and 84 teasers have amassed over 404.5 million digital views. 184mm of those came from Facebook this year. And just over half (117.1 million) of the remaining 220.5 million on YouTube were organic, or unpaid.
