Pepsi MAX 2011 Super Bowl Commercial, First Date
During a first date between a man and a woman, a voiceover consisting of internal monologues shows what both people are thinking. The woman is wondering about many of the man’s personal details, such as how much money he makes, whether he has a healthy relationship with his mother, whether he will go bald and whether he wants kids. The man, in contrast, is thinking only one thing repeatedly: “I want to sleep with her.” When a waiter places a Pepsi MAX on the table, his inner voice changes and continually chants, “I want a Pepsi MAX” instead, to which the woman mentally responds, “Not a chance.” The man wonders which request she is denying him. This commercial aired during Super Bowl XLV on February 6, 2011.
