After six previous nominations, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/topic\/actor-actress\/UX\/leonardo-dicaprio\">Leonardo DiCaprio<\/a> finally nabbed his first Oscar and out of 29 advertisers, 15 launched new campaigns. Overall, the ads earned close to 530 million <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/hub\/launches-audience-impressions-view-rates\/\">TV impressions<\/a> and were watched, on average, 78% of the way through.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>When It Comes to TV, More is Better<\/h2>\n<p>Of the 15 brands debuting new campaigns during the Oscars, seven took it even further, airing several ads multiple times. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/brands\/oC3\/android\">Android<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/brands\/Ad5\/kohls\">Kohl\u2019s<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/brands\/7QD\/american-express\">American Express<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/brands\/d3C\/cadillac\">Cadillac<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/brands\/A1k\/samsung-mobile\">Samsung Mobile<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/brands\/AAf\/ibm\">IBM<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/brands\/73l\/at-and-t\">AT&amp;T<\/a> all invested in major ad buys in a gamble that, for the most part, paid off.<\/p>\n<p>Android, in particular, came away with more than 37% of the Digital Share of Voice &#8211; the earned digital activity generated by each TV ad across social, online video and search &#8211; for its two spots and three airings.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3069\" src=\"https:\/\/hub-cdn.ispot.tv\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/01133718\/Screen-Shot-2016-03-01-at-1.36.55-PM.png\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2016-03-01 at 1.36.55 PM\" width=\"561\" height=\"283\"><\/p>\n<p>In second place was Kohl\u2019s, which along with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/ad\/AbsL\/mcdonalds-award-shows\">McDonald\u2019s<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/ad\/AOo4\/at-and-t-mal-wear-song-by-shirley-bassey\">AT&amp;T<\/a>, created custom Oscar-themed spots.
