So far, 2016 has eclipsed last year\u2019s count of 27 by the same measure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Early is IN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2014, 5 brands had aired teasers on TV before the game. By this time last year, it had jumped to 11. Currently, 16 brands are airing teasers for their Super Bowl 50 spots.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pre-Game Views<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Advertisers who don\u2019t run online are missing out; iSpot data has revealed that&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/hub\/half-of-all-super-bowl-ad-views-will-probably-happen-before-kickoff\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">50% of online views for ads happened before kickoff<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> last year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Without last year\u2019s juggernauts of Budweiser&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/ad\/7xYS\/budweiser-super-bowl-2015-commercial-lost-dog-song-by-sleeping-at-last\">&#8220;Lost Dog&#8221;<\/a>&nbsp;and Always&#8217; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/ad\/7xY4\/always-super-bowl-2015-like-a-girl\">&#8220;Like a Girl,&#8221;<\/a> earned views on YouTube are down more than 50 million YoY (overall views down just 13 million). On the whole, views are up more than 15 million because more brands are hip to the benefits of Facebook native video.<\/p>\n<p><b>Ads Are Earning TV Impressions Before Airing<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Some of the ads, despite not running in ad slots, have generated significant impressions from being shown on news and entertainment programs. Before paying to place an ad officially, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/Athq\">SoFi<\/a> generated 9.7mm unpaid TV views, followed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/AOkr\">Hyundai<\/a> (5.7mm) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/At85\">Snickers <\/a>(4.6mm), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/AtHG\">Pokemon<\/a>&nbsp;(3.42mm).<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"margin-bottom: 0;\">Super Bowl 50&nbsp;Stats<\/h2>\n<p><small>Data through 2\/3\/2016<\/small><\/p>\n<p><b>39 Brands<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> have released <\/span><b>67 ads or teasers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> associated with Super Bowl 50. New since yesterday: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/AOKi\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">this from Machine Zone<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>$8.8M spent<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on <\/span><b>1,918 airings; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">436<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of which are in prime time; that&#8217;s down from $9.8M spent in 2015.&nbsp;Those airings have generated <b>207.1mm TV impressions.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Of the 19 ads\/teasers<\/strong> that have aired during commercial breaks, Squarespace\u2019s &#8220;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/AO61\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Real Talk<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8221; teaser has the highest average <\/span><b>view rate at 89.6%<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Collectively, the teasers have a view rate of<\/span><b> 81.2%.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Facebook views are at 87.4mm<\/strong>, up from <strong>58.7mm<\/strong> from this point last year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Of the 114.3mm views<\/strong> on YouTube (down from 127.7mm in 2015), <strong>44.5% of the views<\/strong> (50.9mm) were organic\/earned, whereas last year over 83% were organic\/earned.<\/p>\n<p><b>897.1k<\/b> <b>social actions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (likes, mentions, comments, tweets, across Facebook, YouTube and Twitter).
