Whereas Super Bowl advertisers used to keep a very tight lid on their creative until the day of, now plenty of them release teasers and often even their actual ads in the weeks leading up to the game.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Super Bowl Digital Activity in 2015<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Here&#8217;s how online views and digital activity (including tweets, social sharing, likes, etc.) stacked up in 2015:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hub-cdn.ispot.tv\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/03215311\/image004.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2732\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2732 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/hub-cdn.ispot.tv\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/03215311\/image004.png\" alt=\"Digital Activity - Superbowl 2015\" width=\"688\" height=\"449\"><\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Pre-Super Bowl Performance This Year<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">And here&#8217;s how the pre-Super Bowl advertising game is shaking out so far this year:<\/p>\n<p><em>THROUGH 2\/2:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>37 brands&nbsp;<\/strong>have released <strong>67 ads or teasers<\/strong> associated with Super&nbsp;Bowl 50. Nine new ads\/teasers have been released yesterday:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/AOdd\">Amazon<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/AOdd\">Echo<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/AO5g\">Apartments.com<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/AOg7\">Budweiser<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/AOGo\">Bud Light<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/AOK3\">KFC<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/AOpq\">T-Mobile<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/AOGP\">TurboTax<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/AOSp\">Skittles<\/a>&nbsp;and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/AOSX\">Squarespace<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>$8 million has been spent on&nbsp;1,599 airings,&nbsp;368&nbsp;of which are in prime time.<\/strong>&nbsp;Those Super Bowl ads and teasers have racked up 204.1 million TV impressions so far.&nbsp;Some of the ads, despite not yet running in proper TV ad slots, have generated&nbsp;significant impressions from being shown, for free, on news and entertainment shows. Before paying to place an ad officially, for instance,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/Athq\">SoFi<\/a>&nbsp;generated 9.7 million unpaid TV views, followed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/At85\">Snickers<\/a>&nbsp;(4.6 million),&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/AOkr\">Hyundai<\/a>&nbsp;(4.4 million) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/a\/An3n\">Wix.com<\/a>&nbsp;(3.17 million)<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>So far Super Bowl 50 ads and teasers have run up <\/strong><strong>149.5 million total video&nbsp;views<\/strong> across Facebook, YouTube and iSpot.tv.&nbsp;Facebook views are at 75 million &#8212; up from 45.5 million at this point last year. Of the 74.9 million views on YouTube (down from 87.6 million in 2015), 52.3% of the views (39.2 million) were organic\/earned, whereas last year over 80% were organic\/earned.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Super Bowl 50 ads and teasers have prompted 693,600&nbsp;social actions<\/strong> (likes, mentions, comments and tweets,&nbsp;across Facebook, YouTube and Twitter).<\/p>\n<p><strong>The most popular&nbsp;<\/strong>Super Bowl 50 ad so far is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/ad\/AtHG\/pokemon-super-bowl-2016-extended-pokemon-20\">\u2018Pokemon<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/ad\/AtHG\/pokemon-super-bowl-2016-extended-pokemon-20\">20\u2019 <\/a>with 11.1 million organic video views and by far the most social actions (305.3k of 693.6k overall).
