Inflation and skyrocketing gas prices correlated with a spike in share of TV ad impressions (+11 rank change YoY) for Financial brands, while fewer Covid restrictions created an even bigger jump for Theatrical Movies (+14 rank change YoY). That&#8217;s up from 22.4% in H1 2021 thanks in part to the Winter Olympics and an exciting Super Bowl that kept audiences engaged late into the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After returning to the normal 82 game schedule, the NBA had a higher share of first-half TV ad impressions YoY, rising to 3.74% from 3.12% in 2021. Meanwhile, Men\u2019s College Basketball delivered 16.28% of all TV ad impressions during March Madness \u2013 over 9x more than the next-best program during that timeframe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"801\" height=\"526\" src=\"https:\/\/hub-cdn.ispot.tv\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/04111807\/Live-sports-ranks.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14942\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hub-cdn.ispot.tv\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/04111807\/Live-sports-ranks.png 801w, https:\/\/hub-cdn.ispot.tv\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/04111807\/Live-sports-ranks-300x197.png 300w, https:\/\/hub-cdn.ispot.tv\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/04111807\/Live-sports-ranks-487x320.png 487w, https:\/\/hub-cdn.ispot.tv\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/04111807\/Live-sports-ranks-768x504.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 801px) 100vw, 801px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#4ac500;font-size:22px\"><strong>Top Auto Ads Use \u201cPets\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two most Likeable Automaker TV ads of the first half of the year both had starring roles for pets. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/products\/creative-testing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">iSpot Creative Assessment<\/a> survey respondents found the ads to have strong and engaging Narratives while of course enjoying Cute visuals of the animals \u2013 albeit one was robotic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chevrolet\u2019s \u201cWalter in Winter\u201d achieved a Likeability score in the 99th percentile among survey respondents, while featuring a cat acting like a dog in and outside the house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"position:relative; width:100%; padding-top:56.25%; padding-bottom:60px;\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/share\/qv0l\" style=\"position:absolute; top:0; right:0; left:0; bottom:0; width:100%; height:100%;\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Kia\u2019s \u201cRobo Dog\u201d revolved around a robotic pup who chases after his dream owner.
