From Salt-N-Pepa to Ice-T to Boyz II Men, multiple musicians have appeared in its ads over the years.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Most recently, Tag Team, the hip hop duo known for \u201cWhoomp! (There It Is),\u201d got its Geico moment and riffed off their classic track for an ice-cream-themed \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/ad\/trPM\/geico-tag-team-helps-with-dessert\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Scoop! (There it is!)<\/a>\u201d commercial that, while not having much to do with insurance, proved to be not only memorable and funny to viewers, but also effective for the brand.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Below, in addition to some ad performance insights, you\u2019ll hear from Tag Team\u2019s DC \u201cThe Brain Supreme\u201d himself on what it was like making the commercial.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">According to iSpot, this ad has racked up over 1.8 billion TV ad impressions since it first aired on Dec. 28, making it <strong>Geico\u2019s most-seen spot for 2021 thus far, even though it\u2019s had fewer airings than the <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/ad\/tRaU\/geico-geico-claims-audition-billy-blanks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>No. 2 Geico ad by impressions featuring Billy Blanks<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong> About 30% of impressions have come from primetime, with NFL games delivering the highest impressions-counts for the spot; top networks by impressions include CBS, NBC, and Fox.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Data from iSpot\u2019s Ace Metrix Creative Assessment shows that, simply put, people love this ad and it scores right up there with Geico\u2019s 2016 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispot.tv\/ad\/ACf9\/geico-lemonade-not-ice-t-its-not-surprising-featuring-ice-t\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lemonade stand spot featuring Ice-T<\/a>. Specifically, viewers scored Attention, Likeability and Watchability for this ad all above the norm, and audiences found it \u201cmemorable\u201d and \u201cfunny.\u201d In fact, \u201cfunny\u201d was the No. 1-word survey respondents used to describe it.
