Mountain Dew's 30-second spot for its Kickstart energy drink, "Puppymonkeybaby," was the number one performing ad on game day by digital engagement. Created by agency BBDO New York, the ad's haunting hybrid creature earned the most digital share of voice and over 2 million earned online views.
In previous years, Mountain Dew had mixed results with its Super Bowl advertising. Last year's Super Bowl spot, "Come Alive," did not land Mountain Dew in our top 50 brand ranking, but the spot did earn a 9.9 out of 10 engagement score. In 2014, its "Kickstart Your Night" Super Bowl spot took 1st place, earning 21.46% digital share of voice on game day.
