With audiences more couch-bound than ever, streaming services have been pushing to get a share of those eyeballs by using TV ads.

Over the past two months, streaming ads have upticked sharply in terms of both impressions and media value*, with both nearly doubling from the start of quarantines to recent weeks. Along with an increased presence from established players like Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV+, the industry has also seen new advertisers appear — including Peacock, HBO Max and Quibi, among others.
